About Us

The TRACE4EU consortium comprising 30 partners from 14 countries to best meet the calls’ objectives. The partners are from 9 research institutions, 15 small and medium-sized enterprises, and six government bodies. Most of the partners have experience with EBSI because of the participation of early adopters in waves one and two. Furthermore, TRACE4EU has experienced EBSI node providers. The TRACE4EU partners are continuously in contact with EBP members, the EBSI core team, and pilot projects.

The TRACE4EU consortium is composed according to the requirements of the call and project deliverables. The ambition to bring the traceability use case into production has determined the selection of the most relevant and competent partners. The consortium partners define and design the requirements of the use cases and implement and test these in different countries and cross-border. A core group of European Blockchain Partnership policy representatives supported the consortium building process based on the DEP-call objectives. 

The strength of the consortium is the variety of policy, business, research, technical, and implementation expertise. TRACE4EU partners contribute domain expertise in EBSI, Self-Sovereign Identity, traceability, supply chain, preservation, and education. With 13 countries involved in the consortium, we will have a large-scale implementation throughout the European ecosystem to meet the DEP ambitions.
